State wineries have much to be proud of

Satek Winery didn't win the Governor's Cup, but the winery did take home 14 medals, including a gold for its Raspberry wine.  Dan can tell you winning a gold in the raspberry category means it really stood out.

Dan was guest judge on a judging panel that rated raspberry wines (we don't know whether this panel tasted the Satek Raspberry or not).  If you've ever had raspberry wine, you know it's tough to go wrong with a raspberry.  Most are pretty good, but that means to win a gold it has to be really good.  We've had Satek's Raspberry wine, and we can't argue with the judges.  It is a great wine and sells out every batch they make, several times a year.
