The INDY International
Wine Competition was
held August 4-6 at
Purdue University in
West Lafayette, Indiana,
and winning medals at
this show is no small
feat. The INDY is the
largest independent and
scientifically organized
wine competition in the
United States. Panels
of experts and amateurs
from around the world
conduct a blind judging
to choose the winners.
This year nearly 2700
commercial entries came
from 15 countries and 39
U.S. states. More than
50 wine industry
professionals were
selected to judge,
including winemakers,
wine writers,
sommeliers, enologists,
wine grape growers,
chefs, wine
distributors, and wine
retailers.
Stop by the winery any
day of the week, from 10
a.m. - 6 p.m., to sample
our
award-winning
wines!
Sincerely,
Chrissie, on behalf of
the whole Satek Winery

Price drop on Raspberry
Wine
Thanks to a
substantial drop in
the base cost of
raspberry
concentrate, we are
able to follow with
a decrease in the
bottle price of our
Raspberry Wine.
That's great news
for our customers,
who can now enjoy a
bottle of the very
popular Raspberry
Wine for $18.49,
instead of the
previous list price
of $19.99. As long
as the economy keeps
the price of our
concentrate lower,
we will continue
to pass on the
savings to our
customers

Long-anticipated DeChaunac 2009 to
be released
Thursday
|
|

Our signature dry red wine,
DeChaunac 2009, is set to be
released this Thursday, August
19th.
Small crops of DeChaunac grapes
are grown on the Satek's Lake
James Vineyard. These
French-American hybrid grapes
make a unique dry red wine with
soft tannins. The wine emerges
as a splendid selection for
those who seek rich fruity
flavors complemented by oak.
We don't offer DeChaunac for
tasting because we are only able
to produce a limited number of
cases. However, if you are a
fan of Cabernets, you are likely
to enjoy DeChaunac. This totem
of Satek Winery has been honored
with numerous medals at the INDY
International Wine Competition
since it was first introduced in
2001 as one of our first four
wines ever released. Because
many DeChaunac fans have waited
all year for its release, you'll
need to hurry in to purchase
yours before it's sold out!
