of this event, we are in the planning
stages of the sequel, hopefully to

Dear Christina,
Its
getting to be that time of year
again. Yes, the snow is gone
(knock on wood) and days are
getting longer. It also means
our spring and summer event
season is kicking off soon here
at the winery! We are still
coordinating the final details
of some of these events, but the
dates are set and we promise
they will give you even more of
a reason to come out to Satek
Winery (not that you needed more
incentive, of course).
Starting May
7th, we'll have a kickoff
weekend called "Tram-MAY-nette",
to launch our 2010 Traminette
wine release. Last year's
vintage sold out so quickly it
made our heads spin, so we
decided to give this year's its
proper welcome, since it won't
likely be around for long.

Our sold-out WINOS (Women
In Need of Shopping) Girls
Night Out series will continue
again this year starting May
20th.
We've moved these to Friday
nights, added more seating, new
vendors, even more gourmet hors
d'ouevres, and additional staff
to serve our guests better. In
addition, we will only have 100
tickets available for each date,
to ensure the exclusive,
relaxed, and fun vibe of the
evening. Subsquent WINOS are
scheduled for June 24, July 29,
and August 26.
We will host regional artists in
our ever-popular outdoor Art
Fairs, with dates scheduled for
June 18 and August 20.
These family-friendly art shows
feature some of the most
talented artists in our area,
with free admission, and as
always, free wine tasting in our
tasting room.

On June
11, we are
fortunate to have been asked to
be at the first"Wake
Up with RISE" wakeboard and ski
show at
Steuben County Park. This
all-day event of ski and
wakeboard demos and lessons,
games, local food, and vendors
will culminate with a Luau
featuring live music, Satek
wines, great food, and a
fireworks display.
The big news is of course our 10th
Anniversary Celebration, which
will be July 1-10 this year.
We'll have our free wine glass
giveaway (one glass per two
bottles of wine purchased), and
this year's is one you don't
want to miss: it's a 16-ounce
balloon glass with silver
etching-- so elegant! Plus,
we'll have lots of other
activities during those 10 days
that we will announce in next
month's newsletter.
Last
but not least, we are honoring
Baron Von Steuben, the namesake
of Steuben County as well as our
most-prolific grape, Steuben,
with a Von
Steuben Day festival on
September 17th.
It will be a great time to visit
the winery, as the weather
should still be warm, we are
likely to have begun Harvest and
Crush, and you can learn a
little history while enjoying
some great wine and food!
Hopefully you can join us for
one or more of these fun
events. You can always check
our website for updates and
details, or call the winery if
you have specific questions.
Sláinte!
